The eastern tour provides an off road adventure, in combination with spectacular views, unique sites and the opportunity to take a dip in the Caribbean Sea. It is a unique tour as it-quite often literally- takes you of the beaten path with lots of opportunities to take pictures. After an elaborate instructions and practice ride, the tour starts at a leisurely pace through low traffic road in residential (and beautiful) neighborhoods of Curaçao, giving you a taste of the real Curaçao.
We will have a picture stop at the Sein Post for a dramatic view of the eastern side of the island. On most days, you can easily see the neighboring island Bonaire and the mountains of Venezuela, it truly is a spectacular view. The tour continues to the Aloe Vera Plantation. You will also get a fresh beverage and you can use the restrooms if needed.
Continuing off road, the tour take us eastward to the St. Joris Beach . The terrain gets a little rough every now and then but can still easily be managed by all drivers. St. Joris Beach is an inlet in the rough North Coast of the island and the habitat of many sea turtles, which can casually be easily spotted coming up for air – even by an untrained eye. The wild north coast always offers stunning sights of waves crashing on the rocks.
The hidden treasure of this part of the trip is a visit to a cave even most locals have never visited before. The cave lies above the ground on one of the higher planes of the island guaranteed to take your breath away. The trail will take us back to the coastline along the windmill farm and then to L’aldea Restaurant. This is our last break. The last leg of the trip take us back to the starting point via the Scherpenheuvel monastery.
After we arrive back at the departure office, we can take 2 hours to relax and swim at the Mambo Beach.
